etc... news team etc... news is a family owned community newspaper owned and operated by Bruce & Terry Brackett and their daughter Andrea McAnally. In 1987 the Bracketts resurrected the name Leslieville in the South Riverdale community with the installation of street signs designed by their son David. A year later the Leslieville Community News was created. The acronym etc (East Toronto Communities) was chosen later on to reflect the expansion of the newspaper's boundaries.

As lifetime residents of the East End, the Bracketts have served as volunteers on many community boards. etc... news has been the media sponsor for many local annual events such as Danforth Is For Lovers, East York Meals on Wheels, Festive Earth Day, Riverdale Hospital Festival, Leslieville Festival as well as Metronome and First Night. etc... news is also the driving force behind the Monarch Park Canada Day event held on July 1st for the past 12 years.

Today the paper serves the boundaries between the Lakeshore to O'Connor Drive from the Don Valley Parkway to Coxwell Avenue. Some of the communities included in the distribution area of Toronto Danforth are: Ashbridges Village on the Bay, Danforth by the Valley, Danforth Village, East Toronto Chinatown, Gerrard India Bazaar, GreekTown on the Danforth, Leslieville, Pape Village and Queen Broadview Village.

etc... news is published every three weeks with a circulation of 25,000. Seventy-five percent of the newspapers are delivered door-to-door by a distribution crew and a network of volunteers (your neighbours). The balance are made available at libraries, community centres and local businesses.

etc... news is dedicated to building neighbourhood identities and preserving community values
